One of the most highly anticipated new construction projects in downtown Boston, Winthrop Center, has just opened The Connector at Winthrop Center, featuring a food hall, The Lineup, with five restaurant concepts by Michelin star chef John Fraser.
Winthrop Center is one of Boston's tallest buildings and is home to 317 luxury residences as well as 20 floors of commercial and office space, including its anchor tenant, Cambridge Associates, whose global headquarters is sited there. The Connector at Winthrop Center is a ground floor concourse linking the two at Federal and Devonshire Street, and is open to the public.
The Connector was designed to feel like an extension of the living rooms and shared club spaces of the residences and offices. The design is both modern and inviting, with floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor plants, and a ground floor art exhibit. Each of the five fast-casual restaurants at The Lineup offer a different style cuisine and reflect Fraser's experience and range: Ariana is all Mexicali street food, Iris Mezze is a Greek restaurant, Gatto Pazzo has Neapolitan-style pizza and paninis, Big Grin is known for its roadside eats and veggie burgers, and Day Shift is a sandwiches and coffee place.
The Lineup is open from 11am-4pm Monday through Friday, with Day Shift opening at 7am for the office crowd. Later this spring, Fraser will be opening a sit-down restaurant on the mezzanine level.
Millennium Partners, the developers of Winthrop Center, envision The Connector as a space where local groups will perform, arts and culture events will take place and even TED Talks will be held. With their focus on the environment and long-term sustainability, The Connector features ventilation through Energy Recovery Units, which bring up to 30% of fresh air into enclosed public spaces with the goal of creating the purest and healthiest air flow.
Winthrop Center is the city's only Passive House, an airtight building facade with no heat exchange and emissions into the atmosphere, also making it Boston's only Well Gold certified building. Fittingly, right outside The Connector is Boston's newest green space, Winthrop Center Park, where The Connector's offerings can be enjoyed outdoors.
The residences are Boston's most modern, and redefine luxury living. Each home is equipped with Wolf appliances, Sub Zero refrigerators, custom cabinetry, Italian marble countertops, wide-plank white oak floors from the most sustainable forests in France, and soaring City views from floor-to-ceiling windows. There are two amenity floors exclusive to residents that include: multiple state-of-the-art fitness centers, spa, owner's lounge, co-working spaces, pet spa, and the one and only Earth Room where residents can completely disconnect and immerse themselves in nature.
These are just some of the amenities residences enjoy without ever having to leave their homes. Thinking of living at Winthrop Center? There are unique opportunities to move in today and experience Winthrop Center living for up to a year before closing - contact me for more information!
